When Abidis suddenly came to her senses, she found herself sitting sideways in Roderick's arms, both hands tightly wrapped around his neck, while Roderick seemed to have been staring at her chest the entire time.

She was not wearing the Scarlet Crusade armor she usually wore today. With no battles taking place in the castle at Tyr's Hand, she preferred light dresses.

Lying sideways in his arms exposed a large expanse of milky-white skin at her chest, and she had thought Roderick was looking at the necklace.

Embarrassed, Abidis covered Roderick's eyes with one hand. How could he casually look at a girl's body like that? Besides, he had not yet answered her request.

"Brigitte Abidis. I, Roderick Northumberland, ask to take you as my wife."
