Aftermath

In Watchtower Village's rudimentary council hall, the officers of the Raven Guard Knights and every member of the village committee sat upright at the table, listening gravely as their commander, Roderick, calmly recounted the events of recent days.

"I heard that a few days ago, someone incited the refugees to storm the military training camp and take Brooks's head."

"The guards on duty were injured as a result. One even had his ribs broken. In the end, Yug led the soldiers in dispersing the crowd and bringing the chaos under control."

The calmer Roderick's tone was, the more everyone else felt the force contained within it.

"That was what happened. Brooks's family could not accept such a shock at the time and wanted Brooks to remain whole..."

"Our guards did not take any forceful measures. They merely defended themselves. We never expected things to develop into this." Arnold, who had been on duty at the camp that day, hurriedly explained.

"After leaving the camp, they came to cause trouble at Watchtower Village's offices. Two female staff members who had been auditing the weapons inventory were also injured in the conflict!"

"Arnold, this is what you called leaving? Are the guards in Watchtower Village just decorations?!" Roderick could no longer fully suppress the anger in his heart.

"Their family members were extremely emotional at the time. I was afraid of making things worse, so I did not drive them away immediately."
