Naxxramas

Naxxramas, the undead fortress that symbolized the Scourge's highest military might, had always hovered above the Eastern Plaguelands, looking down upon the land below. Its immense shadow shrouded the Plaguelands, filling every human of Northrend with dread.

This undead fortress, personally ruled by the legendary lich Kel'Thuzad, was largely divided into four sections: the Construct Quarter, the Plague Quarter, the Spider Quarter, and the Military Quarter. The lich himself remained in the deepest lair of Naxxramas alongside his beloved frost wyrm pet.

The Construct Quarter, as its name suggested, was the production area where the Scourge manufactured Abominations, constructs made for war.

This area was filled with constructs and plague creatures of every size. These monsters overwhelmed any enemy with the simplest and most effective weapon of all: absolute strength.

The Plague Quarter was where evil undead mages researched plagues. It teemed with elemental creatures controlled by necromancy and mutated monsters created by Undead Plague experiments.

Most terrifying of all were the endless diseases and toxins, which had caused the humans of the Kingdom of Lordaeron untold suffering. Ten times more humans had died from the plague than from blades and swords.

The Spider Quarter was the nest of the Crypt Fiends conquered and controlled by the Lich King, along with countless spiders.

The dark tunnels were covered in webs, while spiders of all sizes scuttled everywhere and laid eggs across the ground. Strange poisons and sharp spider fangs were their most important weapons.

The Military Quarter was where the Scourge trained Death Knights.

A well-trained legion of Death Knights guarded the area, supported by various logistical personnel and necromancer advisers. The Death Knight commanders watched over every vital passage, preventing outsiders from invading Naxxramas.

Once these terrifying war machines marched out together, the human kingdoms would suffer utter destruction.
