Reinforcements Arrive

The legend departed, but Southshore remained.

Several days later, a Dwarf transport fleet from Menethil Harbor arrived at Southshore. To Roderick's delight, besides the fully staffed Ironforge Dwarf guard soldiers and accompanying artillery unit, an unexpected force of reinforcements had also arrived with the fleet.

"The goddess will guide the path ahead of you, Knight Roderick." The pleasant female voice rang out again, carrying the distinctive cadence of a Night Elf.

"The Holy Light be with you. I hadn't expected you to come to Southshore." Roderick greeted her with a smile.

"The intelligence from Warsong Gulch was reported long ago. We could barely recruit any Dwarf soldiers in Ironforge willing to fight in Ashenvale, and over in Stormwind City, those Human nobles did nothing but spout pretty words without offering any real support." Her tone carried a trace of helplessness.

"I heard Dwarves and Gnomes discussing your military operation in Northrend. Since I could stop by on the way, I thought I would come and witness the terror of the Scourge for myself." As an elite warrior of the Sentinel forces, Lelandis had long heard of the Scourge that had destroyed the Human kingdoms of Northrend, but she had never had the chance to fight them personally.

"Besides, one of our sisters is working here. She will surely be happy to see her kin." She wondered how that little one from the Starfall family had been faring here.

Lelandis, an officer of the Night Elf Silverwing Sentinels, arrived at Southshore with a small Sentinel unit of more than twenty Night Elves, alongside the Dwarf guard reinforcements.

Though these Night Elf warriors appeared young, they were in fact seasoned veterans. If they were willing to follow Roderick's command and fight the Undead, he would have another elite assault force at his
