"Is this your brother, Remilia?" The short Gnome mage carefully examined Roderick. At the same time, Astartes silently activated defensive measures, an invisible turbulent magnetic field surrounding Roderick.

"Respected mage, may I ask what you need?" Roderick did not understand why this mage had caused Astartes to activate its self-protection protocols, so he spoke cautiously.

"My name is Chromie. I am a newly appointed magic instructor in Dalaran." Chromie's reply still carried a hint of strangeness.

Roderick looked at another Gnome mage sitting primly across the table—a white-haired Gnome named Chromie.

Unlike the pink-haired Gnome who was lively and boisterous all day long, Chromie tied her white hair neatly atop her head and wore a plain headdress set with tiny gemstones. Her spotless white mage robes did not bear a single stain.

"How did you meet?" Roderick found it remarkable that people from such different worlds and with such different personalities could become friends.

"We met while eating. Mage Chromie treated us to spicy vulture wings. They're apparently a local specialty from Tanaris, and they were insanely spicy." The world of food lovers was that simple.

"And Chromie is an Archmage too. My teacher said I can ask her any questions I have about magic," Kindi added.

"Actually, aside from magic, divination is what I excel at most. Through divination, one can see a person's future fate." Chromie spoke in the tone of some mystic charlatan.

"Mage Chromie, you truly are knowledgeable and talented." This was Roderick's first time meeting someone in this world who claimed to be able to predict fate.

The last person he had heard of like that was the Scarlet Saint
