Outside Baradin Bay, a two-masted passenger-and-cargo sailboat from Southshore sailed toward Menethil Harbor. Its gray-white sails snapped in the fierce sea wind, and the deeply laden vessel sped along with the wind at its back. White waves continually churned around it, then gradually settled after it passed.
Ever since encountering the Naga several days ago, the ship seemed to have completely shaken off its bad luck. There had been no trouble along the way. At this pace, they would enter Menethil Harbor sometime that afternoon.
Remilia and Kindi Spark did not wander around on deck. Wendell—Kindi's father—had assigned them homework, so they remained in their cabin.
Though the ship was not large and was far from a luxury passenger vessel, Remilia and Kindi's family enjoyed special privileges as mages from Dalaran.

But they could enjoy sunlight and sea breezes, and everyone had a bed of their own. That was already far better than the dim, foul-smelling common quarters below deck. Remembering how the stench had nearly made her vomit last time, Remilia felt that these conditions were not so unbearable after all.
"Remi, what are you thinking about again?" Wendell saw Remi spacing out once more. He tried to make his tone stern, but a Gnome's shrill voice gave him away.
"I miss my brother." Remilia was a natural genius at this sort of thing. Her voice sank low, making her sound like a young girl truly homesick.
"We've been out for quite a while already. Fine, we're about to reach Menethil Harbor. Go play on
