The blade was released, and the three-section weapon, trailing firelight, smashed through the maintenance floor.
Steel plates curled upward as the pipes below were crushed. Steam burst from the ruptures. Bai Zhu gripped the long handle, the dragon patterns on his arm continuing to spread toward his shoulder before stopping at his chest.
Several lines of data popped up across the system interface.
[Strength: 2022] [Agility: 1678] [Stamina: 1582] [Reiatsu: 11656] [Physical Damage: 27%] [Blade Durability: 100%] [Attribute Enhancement is Suppressing Damage Delay]
His dislocated shoulder braced the handle again. The wound at his waist was still bleeding, but his movements had recovered. Bai Zhu spun the three-section weapon, flames spreading across every connecting joint. Kaidō's green glow lit his forehead, and the wounds across his body rapidly healed.
Ryūmon Hōzukimaru was burning too.
This release had been built atop Ryujin Jakka. The two blade names did not conflict with one another.
Bai Zhu looked up.
Slender Hound's enormous jaws were already snapping down before him.
He stepped on the middle section's handle, gripped the long shaft with both hands, and heaved upward. The crescent blade jammed into Slender Hound's lower jaw, power surging through the three-section weapon and into the dog's head.
"Get up!"
The dog's head was flipped into the ceiling, half its neck smashing through the pipes. Sheets of golden particles fell from its chin, rolled across the ground, and rapidly gathered into more than a dozen humanoid forms.
The figures lowered their shoulders and gripped empty weapon handles with both hands.
They even copied the exact position where Bai Zhu had stepped on the weapon moments ago.
"You copied it pretty thoroughly. Too bad it's useless."
Bai Zhu pulled back his weapon, and the chain linking the three blade sections went taut.
