Robin knew, of course, that she would probably retire alongside Leo rather than linger on in the Revolutionary Army.

For instance, Sengoku and Tsuru, the former Navy leaders, had both retired and were now living comfortably on Jaya Island. Though they had not retired from the Revolutionary Army and could not receive its pensions, they lived leisurely off the savings they had accumulated over the years. Rumor had it they were quite fashionable, too.

However, the past year had brought some difficulties to their lives. The Revolutionary Army was issuing a new currency, and its exchange rate against Beli changed every day. If the Revolutionary Army had been a rigid, one-size-fits-all regime, it would naturally have fixed the exchange rate at a single point.

But everything was only just beginning, and there was nothing better than using this opportunity to temper the abilities of the new Revolutionary Army government officials.

It was precisely because of this that the constantly shifting exchange rate gave the two elderly people quite a headache.

They painstakingly and gradually converted their Beli into the Revolutionary Army's new currency.
