The four exchanged looks.
"How did you end up in Totto Land?" Ares snatched the Den Den Mushi and shouted into it.
"Oh, Galette wanted to come back for a visit, so here we are. We're on one of the outlying islands. What island is this again?"
On the other end, Rogge held the Den Den Mushi as he walked down the street in beach shorts and sunglasses, a woman holding his arm. Not a single person recognized him-or perhaps it simply never occurred to them that one of the Four Emperors would be here.
As Rogge walked, he pried a nut out of a wall and tossed it into his mouth.
"Nuts Island," Galette said irritably. She had told him so many times already. Couldn't he see that the whole island was made of nuts? She had never imagined that this crafty man could have such a dopey side.
"Nuts Island, right. One of Totto Land's thirty-four islands," Rogge said as he chewed.
Ares and the others exchanged looks again. Was this fate?
"Charlotte Linlin has gone berserk. Want to come over and kill her?" Ares asked.
"Huh???" Rogge froze.
Galette froze too, then grew anxious. "Has Big Mom's binge-eating disorder flared up?"
Ares paused, then nodded. "Looks like it..."
"Rogge." Galette looked at him.
Rogge rubbed his chin. "This really is a good opportunity. When Charlotte Linlin's binge-eating disorder acts up, her fighting strength drops considerably. It's the perfect time to kill her."
"Rogge!" Galette pinched the soft flesh at his waist between two fingers and twisted hard.
