On the stern deck, Lin Nuo cautiously poked his head out and looked around.
Good. Everyone was in their cabins, either training or taking a nap.
It was safe now.
Leaning against the railing, Lin Nuo willed it, and the system screen quietly unfolded before him.
On the left side of the interface, the portal icon was spinning wildly.
Ever since leaving Drum Island, he had been holding back the urge to enter immediately.
Now, he had finally gotten a chance to be alone.
"All right, here I come!"
Lin Nuo extended a fingertip—
"Brother Lin Nuo!"
A calm, gentle voice suddenly came from behind him.
"?!"
Lin Nuo jolted in fright. His outstretched hand switched to scratching the back of his head, and he put on a polite yet awkward smile.
Kuma stood at the stairway leading to the stern, seemingly puzzled by Lin Nuo's earlier posture.
"Yo, Kuma. What do you need me for?"
"I'd like to ask Brother Lin Nuo to spar with us. Ginny and Ivan too."
"Since Drum Island, no one has slacked off in training. We want to test our recent progress."
"Spar? Test your progress?"
Lin Nuo was still thinking about the System Space, but seeing Kuma's earnest gaze, he nodded anyway.
"Sure, no problem. Get ready first, I'll be there soon."
"All right." Kuma answered and turned to leave.
"Wait." Lin Nuo suddenly called out to him.
Kuma stopped and looked back.
Rubbing his chin, Lin Nuo said thoughtfully, "Speaking of testing your progress..."
"I suddenly remembered that new tactic you mentioned back on Drum Island."
"New tactic?" Kuma thought back. "Do you mean the tactic where I push out your injuries and pain?"
"That's right." Lin Nuo nodded, then
