Aboard the Moby Dick, on deck.
The sea wind was strong.
A bald, sunglasses-wearing man with a tiny golden braid on top of his head and a round build stood in the middle of the deck, stomping his feet in fury.
He had a cigar clenched between his teeth, and it bobbed with his emotions.
A golden ponytail hung down from the back of his head. He wore black-and-white suspender overalls, with two swords tucked behind him.
His sunglasses were firmly tied on with two cords, as though they might fly away the moment he got too worked up.
"You guys—could've said so earlier!!!"
He raised both hands over his head, his voice ringing across the deck.
"Over something this trivial!!!"
"You made me think I was going to die on this ship!!!"
—Queen.
A mad scientist who had escaped from MADS not long ago.
Originally, he had been preparing for a textbook-level "strategic retreat."
He would abandon everything from his past and join the powerful pirate who had extended an olive branch to him four years ago—Kaido.
The plan had been perfect.
Until—
Not long after his ship set sail.
In the distant mist.
An absurdly massive silhouette of a ship slowly emerged.
White sails unfurled as its bow split the waves.
—The Moby Dick.
At first, Queen had remained fairly calm.
"Ahahaha..."
"The Whitebeard Pirates."
"They're probably just passing by, right?"
He had picked up a bowl of red bean soup and sipped it leisurely, even blowing on it to cool it down. He had been in an excellent mood.
But before long—
That ship drew closer and closer.
Close enough for him to make out the figures on its deck.
Close enough that... even the pressure of the wind began to feel wrong.
Cold sweat trickled down
