Cargo handling stopped at ports. Whistles fell silent on training grounds.
Officers left meetings, and warships on patrol switched their communications frequencies.
Before long, screens began to light up.
They showed neither Marine Headquarters nor the Fleet Admiral's office.
The only things in the picture were scorched ruins and a pit of terrifying size.
Wind swept across the pit, stirring up ash. A squad of Marines ran past the camera carrying stretchers.
Blood clung to the sole of one Marine's boot, leaving a broken trail of red behind him.
Rock stood before the ruins, his Justice cloak already covered in dust.
"This is Lulusia."
"The capital is gone. We're still searching for survivors."
The communication lines slowly fell silent.
Rock picked up a document and held its red stamp toward the camera.

"They were ready to kill, too."
Rock lowered the document.

At a Marine Branch, an officer whose hair had gone mostly gray jerked his head up.
