Carol's right fist was seized, and immense power surged through her arm and spread across her entire body. Her face was filled with disbelief.
Boom!
A muffled impact rang out as shockwaves spread. Carol swung down with her left fist, but Russell caught it just as firmly.
Her energy flared as she unleashed the formidable power within her. She stomped off the ground and charged forward, ramming her head toward Russell without hesitation.
Clang~~~
The echo lingered. Under the Avengers' horrified gazes, Russell lifted Carol with one hand, her eyes rolled back white.
When it came to having a hard head, she had lost.
The Avengers found it unbelievable. The scene before them felt like a dream.
Back in Prague, Russell had called himself the Plague Knight and demonstrated his strength.
His walls of light and what seemed to be telekinetic abilities made his attacks look very much like those of Ebony Maw, one of Thanos's subordinates.
Because of that, the Avengers had assumed the Plague Knight was the mage type—high offense, low durability, someone who would not endure more than a few punches and kicks from Carol.
But the result...
To put it another way, it was like seeing Strange abandon magic, roll up his sleeves, and trade punch after punch with Thanos while pinning down that purple head and beating the hell out of it.
"Is that all?"
Russell held Carol by the neck with one hand, his five fingers tightening slightly and forcing her awake from her brief daze.
After several failed attempts to pry open Russell's hand, Carol's face flushed red from suffocation. She clenched her fist and fired a beam of light.
It hit him square in the face.
Russell's head, wreathed in roiling black flames, was swallowed by the blazing white beam. The next
