An unfamiliar voice reached their ears, accompanied by a chilling gust that shot from the soles of their feet to the crowns of their heads. The agents sprang up with their hair standing on end, gripping their weapons as they looked toward the source.
If they remembered correctly, there should not have been anyone aboard the ship.
Russell stepped out of the shadows with a benign smile on his face. The shadow beneath his feet blended into the darkness, making it seem as though he had appeared out of thin air by crossing space.
"Who are you...?"
"Allow me to introduce myself. I'm from Hell."
Russell cut him off directly. To prevent any accidental injuries, he slapped the weapons from everyone's hands, then pointed at Coulson on the ground. "This gentleman is on the list. He is a high-priority target. I came specifically to take his soul away, lest he break out of prison again."
Coulson had died more than once or twice. Calling him a repeat offender would not have been an exaggeration. The agents knew this well, and at Russell's words, they immediately began scrambling in panic.
"I don't believe it. He should be going to Heaven!"
"That's right. Coulson is a good man."
"..."
"Whether someone is good or not isn't for you to decide."
Russell shook his head and said bluntly, "Forgive my heartlessness, but I can say this responsibly: don't harbor any fantasies about the future. Every one of you here is destined for Hell. Not a single one of you is qualified to enter Heaven."
After saying that, Russell ignored the agents' reactions, waved them aside, and walked over to Coulson's "corpse."
"Please wait. He isn't dead yet. He can still be saved."
"How could that be? He's dead as a doornail."
