"Satan... isn't a bad guy..."
Clark looked strange. Even the honest man, who had kept silent the whole time, could not help speaking up. "He's not a bad guy? Then is he a good guy?"
"Not really, because he's not even human!"
"..."
"Hahaha, just kidding. Actually, the Lord of Hell is very easy to talk to... Though that might not be the right way to put it. He's the kind of person who follows the rules himself and wants everyone else to follow them too."
Russell's words immediately enlightened Clark. As a beneficiary of order, Satan would naturally do everything possible to maintain it. It made perfect sense that he was easy to talk to.
Barry looked completely bewildered. Seeing Clark nod thoughtfully, he nodded along as well.
Just as Russell was about to treat the two of them to a meal and strengthen their camaraderie, two beams of light, one yellow and one green, descended from the sky.
It was Hal!
He had brought reinforcements from Oa: Sinestro, wearing a Yellow Lantern Ring.
"Russell... Mr. Angel, I brought Commander Sinestro. He has a way to seal Parallax, provided we can defeat it first."
Noticing strangers nearby, Hal hastily corrected himself to avoid exposing Russell's identity. "How's the situation? Where's Parallax now? I'm not too late, am I?"
Russell rolled his eyes. "Late Lantern, Parallax has already been defeated. It's right under your feet."
"What?"
Hal lowered his head and saw a shriveled little blue man beneath his feet. His aura was weak, and he was barely clinging to life.
"This person is a Guardian. He tried to control Parallax and failed..."
Sinestro recognized the little blue man at a glance, but astonishment quickly filled his heart. In disbelief, he said, "How is this possible? You actually defeated Parallax?
