Long ago, Thor had believed exactly that. He loved the hammer, and the hammer loved him. The two would never part, remaining together until the end of time.
Until one day, Russell appeared and cold-bloodedly tore him apart from the hammer.
What hurt him most was that the hammer had not resisted in the slightest. It had not even put up a token struggle, following Russell without looking back.
It had left him just like that!
The evil Russell not only used the hammer himself, but treated it like merchandise and handed it to other people. The hammer did not resist, silently enduring everything.
That day, Thor had been utterly devastated. Life no longer seemed worth living, and even the sky had gone dark.
