That night, Nick Fury received a message from Natalie stating that Dr. Bruce Banner, the "Hulk," had agreed to join the Avengers.

Almost the next day, Natalie's report was placed on the director's desk. Tens of thousands of words detailed every step of how she had appealed to Dr. Banner's emotions and reasoned with him, leaving nothing out.

The report was extremely detailed, including the changes in Dr. Banner's expression during their conversation, Natalie's psychological analysis of his subtle facial expressions, and finally, her personal evaluation of him.

When not transformed, he was a rational, highly intelligent scientist with high emotional intelligence as well. He knew when to advance and retreat, and understood trade-offs. But after transforming, he could not be controlled and was unsuitable for membership in the Avengers.

It was a very fair report, excellent enough to serve as a model.

Even her evaluation of Dr. Banner was based on objective facts and considered matters from the perspective of the team as a whole, without any personal subjective opinions.

Nick Fury was very pleased by this. He privately thought that Natalie truly was a trusted right-hand subordinate. He put down the report and picked up another one from the desk.

Among the agents participating in the mission, there had been a hidden operative arranged by Nick Fury, who had also written a report describing the mission from an observer's perspective.

For the most part, it matched Natalie's report, with only minor discrepancies.

Nick Fury put down the report and personally sealed it away. It was not that he did not trust Natalie, but one's position determined one's perspective. As the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., to prevent enemy agents from infiltrating the organization, he could never place excessive trust in any one person.
