Electric arcs danced as the giant warship slowly moved within the enclosed coils. As Russell adjusted the current and increased its initial velocity, it leaped from the cannon barrel.
Amid high-temperature friction, the dazzling red-and-blue super-shell pierced the air. The giant warship, its exterior melted into plasma, slammed into the ruins of Machine City, instantly blasting apart the ground and leaving behind a glowing-red crater.
Ten massive shells fell, leaving mottled wounds across the ground. Machine City's surrounding defenses locked onto Russell and began retaliating like mad.
Russell raised a hand and summoned a giant warship as a shield, redirecting the missiles attacking from midair. Because their internal programs adjusted themselves, Iron Man's ability had little effect.
After changing direction, the missiles either automatically shut down their engines and detonation systems before falling to the ground, or flew for a moment, arced through the air, and charged at him again.
Russell did not care. With a casual wave of his hand, another ten giant warships were wrapped in coils.
This time, he did not attack the city ruins. Instead, he changed the target to Machine City's defensive systems. Earlier, he had only broken through one layer of defense. The armaments on the remaining three sides had suffered severe losses when the meteors fell, but thanks to Machine City's immense war potential, their numbers had increased rather than decreased.
A magnificent rain of ammunition poured down from the sky. Russell casually picked up warships or steel wreckage from the city and exchanged fire with Electromagnetic Cannons.
Wherever the beams passed, they encountered no meaningful resistance. A single shot plowed out a straight path, scorched the air, left behind cylindrical tracks, and blew up the surrounding defensive forces.
