Just as Russell was about to hit his nephew, a voice spoke beside his ear, telling him that holy light was best for beating devils—double the fun.
Who was this? Sounded awfully experienced.
Russell was immediately annoyed. The priest was nearly beaten to death and no one showed up, but the moment he was about to show off, this person came out and started yapping. Clearly, they were trying to ruin his mood.
He turned and stared at the holy statue. His deep, shadowy eyes pierced through boundless space, and in a pure white world, he saw countless huge moth-like creatures fluttering up and down. The few at the top had many wings and stood there obediently with their backs straight.

Those were not the important part. The important part was that at the very top of this clearly ranked, pyramid-like structure sat a blurry humanoid figure, calm and steady.
Its face was impossible to make out, but the halo behind its head was extremely conspicuous, so bright that Russell could barely keep his eyes open.
