The Left Hand of the Divine Throne was powered by holy light. The skill itself could not be used directly for attack or defense, but it could attach itself to objects Russell touched and alter their form according to his will.
For example, applying holy light to a weapon—whether cold steel or a firearm—would add holy damage to its attacks, making it exceptionally effective against dark creatures.
For another example, attaching it to a vehicle—whether inanimate or alive—would allow Russell to modify it with magic and control it.
Beyond that, the Left Hand of the Divine Throne possessed the traits of an Immortal Body, strengthening its user's body and allowing him to ignore ordinary attacks.
When severely injured, it could rapidly reassemble bodily parts and heal grave wounds. Even if an unavoidable attack blasted him into scraps, he could still recover completely at full strength.
