A cyclone rose from the flat surface of Mars. In the wilderness where sandstorms raged, the faint sound of wind quickly vanished without a trace.
Soon, three furtive figures moved swiftly through the sandstorm toward their target.
"Captain, you actually have a fighter jet that can fly through space? What civilization made it? The design looks awesome. Does it come with free shipping?"
Tony wore the Iron Man Suit. Its flashy gold-and-red colors looked remarkably like camouflage against the Martian backdrop.
Strange had camouflage too. The Floating Cloak blazed bright red, perfectly complementing the world of Mars.
Of the three, only Steve wore a black combat suit, and a skintight one at that. Too bad it was not leather; otherwise, it would have fit the secret infiltration theme even better.
Mars's atmospheric density was less than one percent of Earth's, and its main component was carbon dioxide. This meant sound could not travel far on Mars. Even when they could hear each other talking, the vibrations made the voices completely different from those on Earth.
So the three used the invisible communicators Tony had provided, another piece of Hydra technology.
"Cybertronian civilization!"
Steve rolled his eyes. The Avengers had been short on transportation, and Russell had immediately arranged for a private aircraft to be delivered, claiming it was a Megatron-model attack fighter from the planet Cybertron.
What nonsense. It was obviously made up. During his years as Captain Marvel, he had traveled across the galaxy. Cybertronian civilization... he had never even heard of it.
"What civilization is that? Can you tell me about it?"
Tony activated the recording function. He was deeply interested in alien civilizations, not because he worshipped advanced technology, but because, as a standard Earthling, he had a very standard Earthling habit.
Your fighter jet looks nice.
