In the pitch-black corridor, Tony walked alone. Instead of activating his stealth mode, he turned on his speakers and swaggered forward without a care.
The kind of walk where he swung his shoulders to move his arms, tilted his chin up slightly, squinted his double eyelids into single eyelids, and looked at everyone as if they were beneath him—a punchable, arrogant strut.
Honestly, if an ordinary person walked like that, they would be bleeding out within two minutes. But if it was Tony...
Well, most people just couldn't beat him. Otherwise, he wouldn't last twenty seconds.
He had a face made for provoking people, an aura that maxed out aggro, a tongue sharp enough to piss people off without consequences, and mathematical logic that could always find fault.
That was the main reason Tony invented the Iron Man Suit. Without stacking the thickest armor, how could he endure the harshest beatings?
Of course, there was a reason he walked like this. His arrogance was not the goal, but the method.
Tony was lost. The first half of the downloaded map had been fine, but somewhere along the second half, he had wandered into a maze.
He had tried smashing through the walls, sending mechanical spiders to scout ahead, and even building a mathematical model to solve the maze's correct route. All of it had ended in failure.
There was something wrong with the space!
Tony believed Hydra's underground base contained chaotic space. Perhaps there was a pattern to it, but he had taken too few steps to build a complete model.
On top of that, an eerie "creak, creak" had been echoing through the corridor. Apart from that imagination-stirring sound, the silent passage held only his heartbeat.
As a materialist, Tony did not believe in ghosts or gods. Even Dimensional
