Lin En survived the Holy Spirit Cult’s experiments, gained powerful Soul Rings, and helped Yu Mu'en lead the prisoners in a bloody escape. As the Cult’s Titled Douluo attacked, Lin En stayed behind to cover Zhang Lexuan and the others with a massive railgun strike.

• Lin En awakened his Martial Souls in the laboratory, met Little Sage, and learned that his Dragon Clan bloodline and Word Spirits could help him survive the Cult’s experiments.
• Lin En trained in the Mysterious Heaven Skill with Yu Mu'en’s help, while Little Sage repaired his body and adapted the technique to devour hostile bloodlines.
• Lin En absorbed the Devouring Dragon and Silver Hero Beast Soul Rings, gaining the Devouring and Memory abilities as the white-robed elder revealed Yu Mu'en would be sacrificed and Zhang Lexuan taken away.
• Yu Mu'en and Old Wolf led the prisoners’ rebellion, and Lin En and Zhang Lexuan fought through the Holy Spirit Cult’s forces to escape the dungeon.
• Yu Mu'en carried the survivors toward Shrek Academy, but Myriad Soul Douluo, Abomination Douluo, and their followers ambushed them in the air and on the ground.
• Lin En fought through the Evil Soul Masters while Yu Mu'en faced the Titled Douluo, and Old Wolf sacrificed himself to save Yu Mu'en from Nether Thunder Douluo’s lightning.
• Yu Mu'en burned his origin to hold off Nether Thunder Douluo and urged the others to flee, while Lin En stayed behind and fired a giant railgun shell at the Evil Soul Masters.

Lin En avenged Yu Mu'en, entered the Star Dou Great Forest, and became Qiu’er’s companion while seeking a life-attribute Soul Ring. After absorbing the Devouring Life Ancient Tree’s ring and learning from Di Tian, Lin En left the forest with a possible path toward the Dragon God’s Godhood.

• Ming Lei’s Railgun killed Abomination Douluo, while Myriad Soul Douluo escaped with Nether Thunder Douluo, and Yu Mu'en unleashed the Dragon Emperor Shaking Domain Realm before dying in Lin En’s arms.
• Lin En learned of the Yun family’s seizure of the Zhang estates, resolved to punish those connected to the Evil Soul Master base, and traveled to the Star Dou Great Forest.
• Lin En hunted Twin Cyclops for their brains until the Three-Eyed Golden Lion confronted him, accepted his roasted offering, and began guiding him through the forest.
• Lin En and the Three-Eyed Golden Lion hunted together, and he named her Qiu’er after she asked him for a personal name.
• Di Tian tested Lin En’s strength, advised him to build his abilities around his own bloodline, and directed him to the Devouring Life Ancient Tree for a life-attribute Soul Ring.
• Lin En and Qiu’er fought the Holy Spirit Disciples in the Black Thorn Forest, then Lin En burned the Mutated Life Tree and absorbed its nine-thousand-year Soul Ring.
• Lin En gained Life-Eroding Metamorphosis and fused several bloodlines, then promised Qiu’er he would visit her again before preparing to leave the forest.
• Di Tian gave Lin En Gold of Life and warned him about humans, while Little Sage told Lin En that the Dragon God’s Godhood was the strongest known foundation for his ambitions.
