Shen Luo frowned, thrust out the giant staff in his hand, and was about to launch another attack.
Yet at that moment, yellow light flashed through the earth beside him, and the tall figure wreathed in black qi appeared out of thin air. It too grew to a hundred zhang tall. The nails on both hands abruptly lengthened severalfold, while sharp black radiance shot from its fingertips and viciously clawed at Shen Luo's poorly defended flanks.
A series of cracking sounds rang out. The sharp claws struck Shen Luo's body, bursting into clusters of dazzling black light. Then, the claws snapped apart instantly, and all the claw radiance shattered.
The tall figure was greatly shocked. Black light flared from its body as it prepared to act, but it was already too late.
The giant staff in Shen Luo's hand swept forward, and a golden staff shadow nearly teleported across the distance, striking the tall figure squarely.

A burst of golden radiance exploded. The tall figure's right arm was severed outright, and its enormous body was sent flying into the buildings behind it.
Amid an earthshaking boom, the tall figure was driven several zhang deep into the ground, with most of its body buried beneath the soil.
