But the Dragon-Slaying Sword flashed into place before the Azure Dragon Blade, blocking its downward stroke.

Amid a heaven-shaking clang of metal, golden and azure light collided violently, rumbling outward in all directions.

Lu Huaming appeared beside the golden longsword in a flash. He too was covered in wounds; clearly, neither had gained the upper hand in their recent clash.

Gritting his teeth, he made the golden radiance of the Dragon-Slaying Sword surge until it blazed like the sun. He swept it upward with all his might, and a tremendous clang rang out as he knocked the Azure Dragon Blade away.

Golden sword light surged forth and cleaved through the Jing River Dragon King's chest, cutting him in half—only to reveal that it was merely an afterimage.
