Under the morning light, a young man stood atop the mountain peak.
Standing at the summit of the small hill and gazing at the Undying Tower burning below, Romon slowly clenched his hand and smiled. "Dust returns to dust, earth returns to earth. Go back to the land."
Right where he was looking, the Undying Tower was swallowed by raging flames.
Much of the Undying Tower's structure was made of stone, and stone was not easily burned.
Romon had brought out a batch of oil from his space, along with magical oil agents. Once ignited, this was no ordinary fire, but magical flame capable of burning all ordinary objects.
Naturally, everything combustible burned first. Then the stones crumbled apart in the flames, and amid a burst of explosions, the Undying Tower built from stone vanished along with them.
Watching the Undying Tower slowly disappear within the blaze, Romon took a deep breath of the crisp morning air. Then he abruptly turned around, carrying his flaming longsword on his back, and walked out of the valley without looking back. He knew the people in the party must have been waiting anxiously by now.
After killing that Necromancer, he had carried out a major relocation and checked things several times. Before he knew it, quite some time had passed, and it was already deep into the night.
Since that was the case, he might as well wait until dawn before leaving.
