Attack (Part 2)

The sun rose higher and higher, yet the wind grew cooler. The gates of Forest Home gradually came into view, and a faint smile appeared on the knight's face.

Forest Home bustled with voices, with cooking smoke rising from the rooftops of every household.

"Our party entered the forest three days ago. We never knew there was actually an Elven clan in Edge Forest. I never imagined the Elves would be even more terrifying than the legends said."

Since high-level Adventurers' Guild missions had once included tasks to hunt and kill Elves, Potter guessed that perhaps they had been on such a mission as well.

"The Elves are indeed terrifying, but for the will of God, we will press forward without hesitation." At the mention of this subject, an expression of incomparable reverence immediately appeared on the knight's face. "As you can see, the Elves are an evil race. They beguile people with their beauty, then slaughter humanity with cruel and wicked methods. For God, for humanity, we must eradicate these evil Elves."

"So it was God's will? Yes, evil Elves should all be eradicated." In the past, Potter had always held some affection for the Elves of legend, but after his companions had been killed, he now gritted his teeth in hatred.

Whenever Potter thought that he had once felt favorably toward Elves, he felt incomparably guilty and ashamed.

Fortunately, the other party did not notice his discomfort. Instead, the knight continued, "My companions and I are all from the Radiance Lord Temple. We came here to wipe out the Elves. You have seen how crazed these Elves are. If we do not destroy them now, they will become a tremendous problem in the future."
