A Visit (Part 1)

Delanya Kingdom. A villa

The moon had long since set, and the sky was faintly bright now. A red sun was slowly rising from the other side.

The morning air was exceptionally fresh, though it had begun to turn cool. The sky seemed to conceal something that made people feel uneasy, as if something were about to happen. The surroundings were also very quiet.

This was a very elegant villa, located in the heart of a small town. It was a three-story building, surrounded by a ring of blue-gray brickwork with hollowed-out sections. Many beautiful flowers and unusual plants had been planted in the courtyard, while green vines climbed upward, stretching past the first floor and veiling the windows of the second.

Early in the morning, a beautiful young married woman sat on a stone chair in the courtyard, gazing blankly at the sky.

Several great eagles spread their wings and flew past overhead, complementing the azure sky.

Beside the beautiful young woman lay many children's toys, while a little girl crawling across a carpet giggled as she played nearby.

She could not speak yet. She could only laugh while struggling to wave her little legs and arms. Her plump, white, round face was filled with the carefree joy of childhood, making her utterly adorable.

Behind them, several middle-aged women dressed as servants stood silently, appearing highly dutiful.

Farther away, several attendants stood guard over them with unwavering loyalty.

"Alice, how long has it been since your father last sent a letter? Could he have... already forgotten us?" The young woman watched the cheerful little girl crawling about before her, but a trace of melancholy rested on her delicate face.

She now had money and status. She could wear fine clothes and live in a villa, yet she also wished
