"Kill them! Kill all the humans!" an elf shouted at the sight.
As if the cry had stirred something, the light behind Aizka suddenly darkened.
Black vapors surged from countless places. They moved so fast that they reached Aizka almost instantly. Even from the remains of elves who had only just died, wisps of black vapor rose and swiftly gathered in the air.
In Xia Bिनaita's eyes, countless elven figures swirled within the vapor. Old and young, male and female—most had died violent deaths, and they numbered in the tens of millions.
Every figure was a ghastly sight, its shadow twisted as it cried, "Our lord! Our lord! Kill all the humans!"
The black vapors poured into Aizka's body.
The instant the Divine Fire touched them, it flared as though fed with oil. But its brilliant gold gradually turned dark.
Aizka's Golden Eyes flashed, a trace of blood-red seeping into them. He roared and pointed.
Boom! A great tree sprang to life, transforming into a colossal Treefolk. Its size and strength far surpassed those of the ordinary Treefolk that had been awakened.
After the briefest hesitation, it roared and charged at the humans.
Several wounded elves fled toward it, pursued by a host of human Knights.
"Save me!" A weakened elf crawled toward it, hoping for help.
The newly awakened Treefolk lunged forward. Oblivious to the elf crawling at its feet, it stepped down and crushed the elf into a smear of flesh.
"No! No!" several elves cried at the bloody sight.
Heavy footsteps thundered as the giant Treefolk charged straight at the followers of the Lord of Radiance. One sweep of its branches sent several humans flying more than ten meters. Bones snapped in midair, and they landed motionless, clearly dead.
