Within five kilometers of the palace, not a single one remained alive. Over the next few days, masses of dead fish and shrimp floated to the surface in that area, giving the seabirds a feast!
That aside, no living creatures remained near the palace at that moment. Had there been any, they would surely have witnessed a bizarre phenomenon suddenly unfolding in the silent depths.
A white light abruptly enveloped the entire palace. Then, shrouded in that glow, the temple gradually blurred...
