Feisi Kingdom
At dawn, the sky had only just begun to pale. In that faint light, the outlines of the mountains were barely visible.
It was early April, and still somewhat cold.
An eagle's clear cry rang out between the cliffs. A group of people hovered above the mountain ridges.
One was a woman draped in a black velvet cloak.
Another was an old man holding a magical scepter.
The third was a man in golden armor. A pair of wings formed from battle aura kept him suspended in midair. Even as he hovered, he stood ramrod straight, his gaze cool and resolute.
The others stood on flying carpets, staring down below.
"Your Highness Saviwen, Your Highness Yongke, Your Highness Yilin, Demon Viscount Miusenhan is hiding down there," an archmage said respectfully.
The title "Your Highness" did not necessarily denote a prince or princess. In this world, gods could be addressed that way, as could princes and princesses, and those who had entered the Legendary Realm.
No one had expected the affair to escalate to the point where legendary figures had to intervene.
The three merely nodded slightly. Yilin looked grave as she said, "Demon Viscount Miusenhan has carried out three massacres and accumulated enough power. He may be advancing to Count this time."
"Perhaps that is not all. He may intend to devour and assimilate Sankangge's divinity," Yongke said, his expression equally grave.
"It will not be that easy. Still, we absolutely cannot let him escape this time," Yilin said.
"Neither of you need worry. If there is truly no other choice, I will ask my lord to descend," Saviwen said calmly.
His words made the other two shudder.
Divine descent!
A legendary warrior could sustain a god's descent for ten minutes, but the price was his own destruction.
