The wind swept past. Dust on the ground was rolled up by the wind and scattered into the air.
A choking stench, mixed with the smell of blood, spread through the air.
Dozens of figures darted in from outside, searching for something within the vast Count's Estate.
"Did you find it?"
"No."
"Keep looking."
"Yes!" Their expressions were grave, and they moved swiftly, but every search ended empty-handed.
"Still nothing?"
"Yes, Commander. We still haven't found it."
"Didn't my lord say that before he went down, he would leave us a marker?" The Holy Knight in charge of this group stood within the estate, muttering to himself in confusion.
"Commander, we still haven't found the marker my lord left..." A Third Level warrior hesitantly stepped forward and spoke to the Holy Knight leading them in their search.
They had just slaughtered all the enemies, only to discover that their lord had vanished.
"...We also found quite a few companions' corpses. They... died horribly!" Another man suddenly came over, speaking with terror on his face. His complexion was awful.
"Desiccated corpses? What desiccated corpses?" Since he had entered last, and the Count's Estate had already been tidied up by the subordinates who arrived before him, the Holy Knight in charge of this batch had not seen those dried corpses.
Seeing the Holy Knight ask about it, the speaker shot a look to either side. "Why are you standing around? Bring one of the corpses over."
"Yes."
Very quickly, several people carried a corpse over before them.
The corpse was covered by a piece of cloth, making it impossible to see what it looked like beneath.
"Commander, look. This is the dried corpse I mentioned. After entering the Count's Estate, we found a total of thirty-four dried corpses. Some belonged to the
