"One, two, three! Pull!"
Rumble!
An enormous tree slowly toppled under the pulling of several workers. Its massive trunk slammed into the ground, sending up clouds of dust.
The workers wiped the sweat from their brows, their faces all showing the relief of a burden lifted.
"This tree really was hard to deal with. Its roots went awfully deep!" one worker said, letting out a breath.
The others chimed in with their own complaints. "Yeah, none of the other trees took this much effort. Who knows why this one was such a nuisance."
"All right, we need timber to build the Temple. Let's hurry and carry it over," said the workers' foreman.
The others agreed, but the tree had been difficult enough to cut down. Now that they had dug it out by the roots, lifting it proved even more arduous.
It seemed to weigh as much as a dozen trees combined. Several workers tried to lift it, but even after exerting the strength of nine oxen and two tigers, they still could not budge it.
"Why is this tree so heavy?" After a while, someone finally realized something was wrong and voiced the question.
"Could this tree be unusual? Why don't we switch to another one?" The tree gave off an odd feeling, and people began suggesting that they choose another.
"No. They need it urgently over there. Call a few more people. I refuse to believe we can't carry this tree away!" The foreman gritted his teeth.
With no other choice, someone immediately ran into the distance and brought back several more people. Nearly ten of them carried the tree with great difficulty toward the timber processing site.
"What are they doing?" Nick, who happened to be inspecting the area from a distant rise, stood watching the scene
