The Elven Divine Kingdom. The Main Temple.
White marble pillars formed a magnificent palace. Every stone shone with radiance, imbued with divine majesty.
Along the ascending path stood great numbers of elven Petitioners, their bearing imposing. Only the souls of Elves who had surpassed the fifteenth level in generations past could remain intact for so long.
Though several battles had cost them most of their number, a hundred thousand remained. These were the soldiers of the divine kingdom.
Yet these soldiers were still translucent. They had not acquired physical bodies.
Inside the main palace stood a platform, upon which several thrones were arranged.
These thrones were all fashioned from gold and exquisitely crafted. Below them stood several slightly smaller seats.
Anion sat upon his throne, toying with a small, crystal-like godhood.
Golden flames rose from this tiny godhood, illuminating the entire splendid hall.
Anion was not alone in the hall. Layers of white light permeated it, thick and intense.
"What excellent power of faith," Anion said with a sigh, soft golden light shimmering over his body.
The five Demigods-Lufaya, Emota, Haimixian, Luerte, and Pufalu-sat on the thrones below, their eyes fixed on the tiny crystal.
"This is godhood. Elven godhood, with divine authority condensed within it, representing every rise and fall of the elven race." Toying with it, Anion spoke slowly, ignoring the burning gazes of the Demigods below. "Once a Demigod who has kindled divine fire acquires this, they can become a True God."
"But first, let me show you how it works."
With a mere movement from Anion, his divine fire seeped into it. The godhood instantly blazed with light. With a thunderous boom, every Demigod present felt the entire world shift.
