December. Heavy snow fell without cease.

The entire sky was shrouded in that vast, boundless whiteness. When people raised their heads, they saw only a hazy expanse; beyond that pale haze, they could see almost nothing at all.

Between sky and earth, countless white snowflakes danced through the air, layer upon layer.

The snowflakes drifted and whirled endlessly, crossing and jostling against one another. Like goose feathers, they fell thick and dense, light and fluttering, without end.

Tatshaw Territory had already seen several snowfalls that winter, but a blizzard like this one, falling continuously for an entire week, was rare indeed.

"It's snowing again." Several young men bundled in thick clothes trudged laboriously along the road. Looking at the snowy weather, all of them appeared deeply troubled, and one of them let out a helpless sigh.

They had work to do and had to travel back and forth on the roads every day. Weather like this was truly a nuisance to them.

"How much longer will this snow last?" one of the young men asked his companion as they walked.

He was a baker and had to go every day to an inn several streets from his home to work. The others had much the same sort of jobs. Walking through the snow made their feet feel heavy, and every step was difficult. As they walked, they muttered gloomily among themselves.

They felt miserable walking through the snow, but the children playing by the roadside loved this weather dearly. Bursts of joyful laughter kept ringing out from beside the road.

The children were happily having snowball fights, playing with snowballs, and building snowmen. Every one of them wore a beaming smile, overflowing with delight.

"Who knows when this snow will stop?" Another baker cast a gloomy glance at the children
