The setting sun was like blood, shining over the entire Gula Plateau.
The Gula Plateau was the highest and largest plateau on the continent. It consisted of a series of immense mountain ranges, plateau surfaces, broad valleys, and lake basins, with an exceptionally complex natural environment.
The plateau not only had many towering mountains, but also quite a few lakes. Near the lakes lay dark green forests, while in the distance stood snowcapped peaks that remained covered all year round.
Amid the many great mountain ranges lay numerous low hills, lake basins, and broad valleys, forming a small plain. In terms of area, this plain was not large, but it was the lifeline of the Orc Empire.
The Millennium Temple had been built here.
A city had formed around the Temple.
This was the Orcs' Royal Capital.
The Temple's architecture was crude, towering, and sturdy. Within the central temple, three Altars burned with Sacred Flame, and behind them stood three ferocious God Statues.
Before the Altars knelt more than a dozen Orcs. One of them wore a priestly robe adorned with feathers, skulls, and gemstones.
They were shouting as they prayed to the gods.
When the prayers ended, the great hall fell silent. The many Orcs held their breath and remained kneeling where they were, awaiting the gods' will.
As time passed, the flames upon the Altars suddenly leaped, and a great burst of fire shot upward.
The high priest let out a hoarse roar, straightened, and slowly turned around.
The other Orcs rose as well. One Orc stepped forward and asked, "High Priest, what did you see? Did the gods bestow a Divine Oracle upon us?"
The high priest raised his staff and swept his gaze across those before him.
