Mist Plane
Pitch-black clouds churned ceaselessly across the sky.
Although the fog over the sea gradually dispersed during this season, the frequent bouts of foul weather still caused sailors a great deal of trouble.
Now, fierce winds swept over everything, and the entire sky seemed to have been swallowed by darkness.
Peals of thunder rumbled, and more great masses of black clouds gathered overhead.
"Slow down! Watch your heading!" The entire sky seemed to press down upon them. The heavy clouds loomed like enormous shadows, crushing everything beneath them. The wind howled and the waves roared, their sounds terrifying. The merchant ships drifting at sea were like dead leaves, helpless in the wind and waves.
At a time like this, everyone seemed insignificant. This was a power that shook heaven and earth-the power of nature.
"The wind and waves are getting worse! What do we do?"
"What else can we do? Follow my orders, and don't panic!"
"Trouble, Captain! Water's pouring in on the port side!"
"Quick, bail it out! Make sure you're tied down!"
"Yes, sir!"
"Captain, ship three's in trouble! Look, ship three hasn't kept up!"
"Damn it!"
Anxious cries rang out again and again.
The fleet consisted of six vessels, all of them scouting ships. To discover new sea routes in the Mist Plane, many fiefs sent ships and crews on long voyages to survey the seas.
With so many sea beasts and so much fog, sailing had always been an extremely dangerous undertaking. But the lords also paid these sailors exceptionally well.
