Mist Plane, Salante Fief
Salante Fief had grown remarkably prosperous. Not only did the locals enjoy the benefits of that prosperity, but merchants arriving from other fiefs also quickly integrated into the territory and shared in its fruits.
Under the joint efforts of locals and newcomers, the newly built mist city grew ever grander and more prosperous.
It was not just local believers, either. Villagers from other fiefs had heard the news and slipped across the borders in a steady trickle. They were, of course, welcomed.
In the blink of an eye, two years had passed since the last holy war. Not only had the entire population become believers, but their numbers had gradually risen to around fifty-five thousand.
In the Mist Plane, that was an enormous number. Even a large fief generally had no more people than that.
Besides the newly built port city, more than a hundred villages around Salante City had become fully established.
They were arranged in a regular pattern, forming strips of farmland and dispersing the mist.
These villages all basked in sunlight, creating an environment suited to habitation.
"Priest Fukangxi!"
A recently expanded small town outside the new city was very quiet at the moment. It was early afternoon, and most people were resting at home, leaving few pedestrians on the streets.
A priest was walking along, pondering various matters, when he suddenly heard someone call his name from behind.
"Hmm? Knight Hade? What can I do for you?" Dressed in white priestly robes, Priest Fukangxi stopped at the call and quickly turned around. The man who had called out to him was Hade, a knight from the town. Watching the middle-aged knight approach, Fukangxi gave a slight nod as he spoke.
Priest Fukangxi was no longer the Second-Level Priest he had once been.
