The carriage slowly rolled out through the city gates.
After leaving the gates, it took a country lane.
"Priest Senjie!" An urgent cry suddenly came from outside the carriage. The man inside frowned upon hearing it and asked, "Is someone calling for me outside?"
"Yes, someone is calling your name," the driver answered respectfully.
"Stop. Let me see who it is," Priest Senjie said lazily.
"Yes." Upon receiving the order, the driver brought the carriage to a halt.
A horse carrying a rider quickly approached the carriage.
The middle-aged priest seated inside lifted the curtain and carefully examined the person who had called him over. The man looked somewhat familiar, so he asked, "Who are you?"
"I'm Oukas. Do you still remember me, Priest Jason?" The man outside was dressed as a knight's attendant. Though younger than Priest Senjie, his face looked far more haggard.
Seeing Priest Senjie poke his head out to question him, he hurriedly answered respectfully from horseback.
Then he leaped down from his horse and swiftly performed a greeting.
"Oukas?" Priest Senjie repeated the name. To be honest, he had no impression of it at all, though the man before him did look vaguely familiar.
"You stopped me. What is it?" Since the other man knew him, and he himself found the man somewhat familiar, and since the man was a knight's attendant, he spoke with such courtesy.
Had it been an ordinary subject, he would have ignored them long ago.
"Priest Senjie, I... I have something I want to report to you. Do you think..." Oukas, the knight's attendant, looked travel-worn, and his voice was full of urgency.
"You want to report something to me?" Hearing this, Priest Senjie pressed his fingers to his temples in irritation. He had thought it was something important, but
