That was possible too. After all, he was a Monster; many of his instincts had yet to shed away, and he had read few books.
Even so, Green Hill Lord felt some distaste. The Black Python Spirit was simply desperate, clutching at straws in a panic. Moreover, although the two demons worked together, they rarely interacted. In his eyes, Green Hill Lord was always cold and indifferent, giving him the impression that she could be easily bullied. As long as he exaggerated matters a little and frightened her, surely she would be afraid.
Yet he had guessed wrong. After hearing him out, Green Hill Lord not only refused to join him in persuading the Dragon Lord, she rejected him outright.
"You need say no more." Green Hill Lord's expression was icy. "Though Green Hill has received a noble title, I never expected that title to truly last for a thousand autumns and ten thousand generations. The Dragon Lord is our lord. What should be done and what should not be done—the Dragon Lord knows, and so do I... What I do not know is whether you know."
Having said that, Green Hill Lord gave the Black Python Spirit a meaningful look before turning and walking away.
The Black Python Spirit had not expected Green Hill Lord to hear those words and still reject him so directly. What made his heart skip even more was that, beneath her cold refusal, she seemed to have noticed his abnormality.
"Forget it. Finding other colleagues to enter the hall and offer counsel will do just as well." He refused to admit that
