Coiling Dragon Lake connected to several waterways, with merchant ships flowing by without end.
Not only that, its beautiful scenery had made it a tourist haven. There were many pleasure boats—rumor had it that more than a hundred filled the lake. These were double-decked ships, each level able to hold over a dozen tables. Singing girls and beauties were as numerous as clouds, while nobles and wealthy merchants spared no expense, lingering amid tenderness. Night had fallen, and it was the hour of drunken dreams and deathly pleasures.

A tremendous blast shook the vessels until they trembled faintly. Someone shouted, "What dark clouds! Rain's coming, rain's coming! Dock quickly!"
