Prince Dai's Residence
Bo Yan, dressed in the uniform of Prince Dai's Residence, patrolled with a hand on his sword. The residence's artificial hills lay layered in emerald green, and on the northern side stood a waterside pavilion, with a gazebo by the water. The faint sounds of reed pipes, flutes, zithers, and lutes drifted over.
Looking into the distance, he saw more than a dozen maidservants practicing swordsmanship by the Han White Jade railing and stone bridge of the waterside gazebo. Luo Jiang stood among them. After passing through the covered corridor, he strolled to the water's edge and listened across the water. Amid the music, Luo Jiang, clad in white, danced with her sword, a faint clear radiance rippling from it. At a glance, she resembled a maiden from the moon palace, her pure silhouette distant and graceful, floating beyond the dust of the mortal world.
Bo Yan stared blankly, yet his hand made a signal.
"Hmph!" The maid Red Leaf spotted the residence guard across the water at once. She sniffed disdainfully and shot him a glare. Luo Jiang saw it and merely gave a slight hand signal.
Having received her response, Bo Yan left. Prince Dai's Residence was unlike the outside world, where one could do as one pleased. He could not help thinking, Luo Jiang's swordsmanship seems to have improved again.
"So the Prince's Residence has such uses too?"
