The Divine Shrine stood north of the Capital City, near Qi Lue Alley, and had much to do with Qi Lue, the former dynasty's General Who Conquered the West. Qi Lue had once won illustrious military merits, but what people knew him better for was that he had raised a pair of divinely handsome great eagles. Those eagles had even aided him in several battles.
After his death, he entered the Hall of Former-Dynasty Meritorious Officials. Among the common people, it was further said that he had been enfeoffed as a god after death, becoming the deity who commanded all birds.
