The representatives of the four villages met, and unfortunately, every one of them was an old fossil.
Only the Third Mizukage was a little younger, around the same age as the Third Kazekage.
Chiyo, Ōnoki, and the Third Raikage could genuinely be described as old fossils.
Chiyo looked at the two of them expressionlessly.
"If the two of you find mocking Sunagakure such an accomplishment, then please, continue."
Faced with Ōnoki and the Third Raikage's mockery, Chiyo truly had no way to strike back.
Their statuses were unequal, and more importantly, Sunagakure was asking others for help.
Before these three, Chiyo could not act tough.
"Enough, you two. We came here by invitation, not to mock Sunagakure."
To prevent Chiyo from getting so angry that she flipped the table and walked out, the Third Mizukage spoke up on her behalf.
Although Sunagakure's performance had indeed been rather pathetic, there was a time and place for mockery.
Obtaining intelligence was more important.
Not ridiculing the other side.
Once the Third Mizukage stepped in, Ōnoki and the Third Raikage finally stopped their snide mockery.
After the two settled down, the Third Mizukage said,
"Chiyo, you invited us here, so let us get straight to the point. Given Sunagakure's situation, I doubt you have much time to waste outside."
Everyone was busy, so do not waste time. Since you, Chiyo, had called them here, you had better show some sincerity.
Do not toy with them, or the consequences would be severe.
By then, it would not be as simple as a few mocking remarks.
Though the Third Mizukage appeared refined and courteous, he was actually a ruthless man, even more vicious than Ōnoki and the Third Raikage.
It was just that the Third Mizukage directed most of that ruthlessness toward his own people.
