Shikaku Nara closed the scroll and said with a headache,
"Then, Orochimaru, give me a detailed account of what happened. I need to report this to Lord Hokage."
Orochimaru began recounting what had happened to the elite unit.
Hatake Sakumo's command had been flawless, and Shikaku Nara's battle plan had been sound. No one had expected Iwagakure to be holding back such a major move.
They had caught everyone completely off guard.

"Iwagakure really came after the few of you."
They did not care about some elite unit at all. What Iwagakure cared about were Konoha's geniuses.

Shaking his head, Shikaku Nara pushed down his worries and asked,
"Jingyi said that you contacted him through his puppets. Can you tell me how you did that?"
It seemed quite a few people were still in the dark.
Orochimaru inexplicably wanted to laugh.
"Because I took Jingyi's puppets apart and studied them. The fact that he could give puppets life was already miraculous. During my research, I began to wonder: since Jingyi could give puppets life, could he control them remotely as well?"
