He Arrived

What he wanted was a young body, preferably one in its thirties, at the peak of its strength.

Unfortunately, although Black Zetsu had improved the Impure World Reincarnation Jutsu considerably through repeated attempts, it still had not met his expectations.

If Black Zetsu had been given enough time and enough chances to experiment, he surely could have perfected this jutsu.

But he no longer had time.

At this point, Madara Uchiha looked like an old man in his fifties.

Though this body was not as strong as one at its peak, it was still far better than his previous decrepit state.

Black Zetsu said, "Madara-sama, time is too tight. Only with enough time and enough opportunities for experimentation can this jutsu be further perfected and altered."

"Forget it. You've already worked hard enough."

Madara Uchiha did not blame Black Zetsu. He believed that, given time and opportunity, Black Zetsu could do it, but he could not afford to wait.

"This will do."

Clenching his fist and sensing the surging power within his body, Madara Uchiha nodded with less than satisfaction. He prepared to set off immediately for Konoha and have a chat with his juniors.

Before leaving, Madara Uchiha said to Black Zetsu:

"Hurry up and use Hashirama's cells to cultivate all the White Zetsu. We may need them next."

"Yes."

Black Zetsu readily agreed.

With a tremendous boom, a huge hole appeared in the underground base, and Madara Uchiha vanished from it.

Though he could use White Zetsu's ability to pass through walls, he did not like doing so. He was Madara Uchiha, not White Zetsu. He would rather punch a hole through the underground base and jump out.

As for the hole... Black Zetsu would take care of it.
