The spaceship carrying Yu Tu landed on a barren planet.

Barren Planet z9560, like most barren planets assigned numbers and incorporated into the Blue River System, was resource-starved and utterly insignificant.

Without special orders, a Blue River civil servant's spaceship would probably never land here in their lifetime.

Black boots slowly stepped onto the planet's surface as Yu Tu walked over the scattered stones.

The cold wind stirred his snow-white hair. His cold, alluring face had grown much thinner, carrying a sickly pallor.

In his memories, this was the first time he had suffered such severe injuries.

So many days had passed, yet he had not recovered.

The ground ahead stretched open and wide as Yu Tu continued forward over the gravel.

This was clearly not his first time landing here. He soon arrived before a stone monument standing abruptly in the empty clearing.

Crooked drawings were carved into the monument: a rabbit, a frog, a cabbage, the sun, the moon, and a little fish.

He tapped them in order: sun, rabbit, little fish.

There was no pattern to it. It was simply the correct sequence for opening the underground door.

The next second, accompanied by a dull rumble, the ground before Yu Tu trembled faintly. A stone door slowly opened, revealing a crudely made flight of stairs.

The stairs descended into darkness. Yu Tu walked down several steps.

His footsteps were light, but to those in the basement, they sounded like drums pounding against their hearts.

Soon, he heard faint crying.

Yu Tu paused. "Everyone, it's me. I'm Yu Tu."

The crying erupted in an instant. The children's sobs crashed toward him like waves. A flash of helplessness crossed Yu Tu's face, and he hurriedly backed away, returning to the basement entrance with pursed lips.
