After defeating Fu Hongchen, Chu Zeming was ordered by Ling Yunzi to retrieve arena stone from the sixth level of the Spirit Mirror Platform within half a month or leave the sect. He found the stone but was attacked by a giant made of resentment, while Ling Yunzi prepared to expel him if he did not return in time.

• Chu Zeming defeated Fu Hongchen, sent the Kongtong Sect disciples away, and urged his injured juniors to reclaim their dignity themselves.
• Ling Yunzi ordered Chu Zeming to find replacement arena stone on the sixth level of the Spirit Mirror Platform within half a month or leave the sect.

On the road to the Northern Wasteland Secret Realm, Yue Lian caught up with Chu Zeming and treated his poisoned wound, and Chu Zeming offered to try being friends.

• Chu Zeming rejected Ling Yunzi’s authority, declared that he was choosing to betray the sect, and left despite Qin Elder and the disciples urging him to stay.
• Over the following days, twenty or thirty disciples left the Nine-Clear Haoran Sect, and Xuan Mo refused Ling Yunzi’s offer to become Eldest Senior Brother before asking Ling Tian to help find Chu Zeming.
