Insisting on Production

Wang Kai watched Fu Junlin's departing figure, lost in thought. Only after a long while did he turn and stride toward the boss's office.

Inside Zhang Cheng's office, Deputy Factory Director Chen Changming was chatting merrily with the newly arrived Technical Director Pi Yi'an.

Knock, knock!

"Come in!"

Wang Kai pushed open the door and entered.

"Ah, perfect timing. I just brewed some fresh goji berry and chrysanthemum tea. This is all good stuff!"

Zhang Cheng hurriedly gestured with Intent for Wang Kai to sit beside him.

A trace of cold Intent flashed through Chen Changming's eyes.

Wang Kai was deeply valued by Zhang Cheng, who had previously had the Intent to promote him to deputy factory director.

But Zhang Cheng's wife strongly recommended her younger brother, Chen Changming, so Zhang Cheng had no choice but to listen to her.

For the time being, Wang Kai remained in charge of the C6 Production Line while also serving as an assistant workshop director. Though his pay had not increased much, he held real authority and managed the money.

Chen Changming had always regarded Wang Kai as a thorn in his side.

As he spoke, Wang Kai shot Zhang Cheng a meaningful look.

Chen Changming and Pi Yi'an immediately looked displeased. Pi Yi'an in particular snorted coldly, lifted his teacup, and said nothing.

Clearly, neither of them had any Intent to leave.

Zhang Cheng glanced at the two men, forced a smile, and said to Wang Kai,

The threat in Pi Yi'an's words already carried unmistakable Intent.

Zhang Cheng frowned slightly after hearing that.

"I can apologize, but the test must be done!"

He had participated in the entire crystal block test and watched every step of the tester's operation. Nothing had gone wrong.

And Wang Kai had been uneasy at the time, so they had added another round of testing. Nothing had gone wrong then either.

Now Wang Kai was making trouble again. Was he really afraid Chen Changming would get credit, or afraid the newly arrived Pi Yi'an would steal his benefits?

Just now, that assistant director Wang Kai came in and said there was a problem with the circuitry right in front of Mr. Pi, demanding another test!

Chen Rong said coldly, implying that his Intent was already a joke.

So he coaxed the two of them while ushering them outside, saying he would treat them to something delicious today, and muddled through the matter with jokes and banter.

Holding the little extra bonus he had received today, Fu Junlin ran all the way home.

Climbing the tall Sky Ladder, Fu Junlin arrived at their little beehive nest. The door was open, and the aroma of food drifted out. Clearly, his mother had already returned.

Fu Junlin called out in a booming voice,

"Mom! I'm home!"
