Qin Sheng took a step and arrived directly outside the collapsed church from the edge of Primordial Island.
Stone pillars, chunks of walls, statues, and other debris lay scattered everywhere. One building had been preserved the best—grand and enormous, with traces of ruined bell towers and spires around it, filled with an ancient style.
Adam stood before the building's doorway, facing Qin Sheng across layer upon layer of steps.
"The Visionary Pathway truly is exceptionally special," Qin Sheng remarked.
"It seemed Adam had been prepared for your resurrection from the moment of his birth."
For the vast majority of True Gods, losing even one Sequence 1 Characteristic would immediately cause them to fall from Sequence 0.
But the Visionary was different. He could envision two Sequence 1 Characteristics to replace the real ones and sustain his status.
The separated real Characteristics could merge with one of his identities, or with a life form he had envisioned, becoming a Sequence 1 Archangel.
When necessary, the person carrying the Sequence 1 Characteristic could also transform into the Visionary's true body.
The Ancient Sun God was even more powerful than the Visionary. He could even envision an illusory Uniqueness, though naturally, it was limited to the Spectator Pathway.
"This was necessary preparation." Adam's eyes regained their clarity. After his identity had been exposed, he neither grew angry nor denied it.
For Beyonders below Sequence 7, Beyonder Characteristics were generally not passed down to their descendants. At Sequence 6 and Sequence 5, a tiny amount would be naturally inherited uncontrollably, but it was far from enough even to make their descendants Sequence 9.
Once one reached the High Sequences, beginning with Demigods, one could freely choose whether to pass down Characteristics. A child could inherit part, or even all, of them.
